Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting the hardware/software infrastructure of a large banking environment.
Acts as a systems support of hardware/software on Midrange Open systems.
Involves analyzing, planning and implementing new approaches and solutions for the environment and supporting existing infrastructure.
Acts in a high-level technical role as a support for major computer applications utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.

This position requires the System Administrator to be part of an on call rotation. System Administrator will serve in a 24x7 on-call rotation. As a member of Systems Support group odd hours may be required on occasions.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field of study. Must have more than 5 years of directly related experience
5 or more years supporting SUN Systems with Infrastructure Architecture and Design  Development/Testing/Implementation of Unix Scripts (Korn and C Shells)  Strong Oral and written communication skills
Installation and setup of SUN O/S from scratch including Volume Manager Demonstrated ability to tune Unix system software and make recommendations for performance changes to CPU, memory and I/O
Familiar with Performance monitoring tools such as VMSTAT, SAR, IOSTAT and others.
Experienced with supporting SUN Volume Manager, Solaris Management Console (SMC), SAN and other system management tools.
Have the appropriate skills in Patch management and systems hardening.
Troubleshooting skills for quick problem resolution.

 Required Skills:

Should have ability to learn existing system from documents and enhance the documentations.
